International Calling

Got friends in exotic places? Want to call them to tell them how jealous you are? Fair enough.

What isn't fair is how much it costs on other mobile networks. Well, we reckon talking is really very nice and you lovely people shouldn't be penalised for wanting to catch up and have a bit of a natter.

Skinny rates for international calling are, we think, pretty damn reasonable.

We've broken the world up into 4 Zones. Handily, they are called Zone 1, Zone 2, Zone 3...you get the idea. More handily with 200+ countries to deal with, they make it much easier to understand our international calling rates.

It's real easy because the countries most popular with New Zealanders are in Zone 1. They are charged like this:

International Calling Rates

39¢

A minute calling to countries in Zone 1

A text to countries in Zone 1

Zone 1

Includes Australia, the UK and 25 other countries

Zone 2 countries costs are $1.39 / minute for voice calls and 20c per text. Most countries not in Zone 1 are Zone 2, over 185 countries in all.

Zone 3 and Zone 4 countries are some pretty exotic and faraway places, and really fun stuff like calling Iriduim or Inmarsat satellite phones, just in case you boast drug dealers, pirates, terrorists or explorers among your nearest and dearest.
